Detailed Methodology
The ECPP-NHES:2005 file contains data from interviews with 7,209 parents or guardians about children in their households from birth through age 6 as of December 31, 2004, who were not enrolled in kindergarten or a higher grade in school. Additional details on sample design can be found here in the NHES 2005 Data User's Manual: https://nces.ed.gov/nhes/pdf/userman/NHES_2005_Vol_I.pdf
Data were collected through Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI) using a random-digit dialing sampling frame. Additional information about data collection methods can be found here: https://nces.ed.gov/nhes/pdf/userman/NHES_2005_Vol_I.pdf
