SSA Master Beneficiary Record (MBR)
Add to My BasketDescription
The SSA's Master Beneficiary Record (MBR) is the main file used for administering Old Age and Survivor's Insurance (OASI) and SSDI payments. The MBR is a system of electronic records that contain certain information about all Social Security beneficiaries who are, or were, entitled to receive Retirement and Survivors Insurance. The file Census Bureau receives is the universe of addresses for the benefit transactions and does not contain benefit transaction information. The researchers should not use this file for transactions as the transaction data is incomplete.
