This dataset contains information collected for the National Study of the Implementation of Adult Education Under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. It includes survey data on the practices and experiences of federally-funded local adult education providers, as well as from a survey on policies and experiences administered to state directors of adult education. It also includes data regarding provider characteristics and program enrollment.

Detailed Methodology

Sample

The sample includes the 1,407 local providers that responded to the provider survey and the 53 state adult education agencies that responded to the state survey. The provider survey was a census of federally-funded providers in the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The state survey was sent to state directors of adult education in the 50 states, District of Columbia, and the U.S. territories.
