Evaluation of Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF)

Description

The restricted-use file for this study contains student survey data on drug use and school records data at baseline (spring 2007) and follow up (spring 2008), information on drug testing procedures and outcomes in study districts during the 2007-2008 school year, and information collected through district/school staff interviews conducted during spring 2008 on school substance use policies and prevention programs.

Detailed Methodology

Sample

Sample includes information on all 2010 TIF districts that had a TIF program in place in each year—153 districts in the first year, 155 in the second year, 144 in the third year, and 139 in the fourth year. Sample for the RCT is based on the ten evaluation districts and 131 schools in grades 3 to 8 that completed all four years of TIF implementation.
