Close Call Data Program (CCDP), developed by BTS, works to improve transit safety by collecting reports, determinig root causes, and developing appropriate preventive safety actions. Close call events and unsafe conditions pose a safety risk of more serious consequences. The Close Call data program with transit agency has been designed to help adapt a confidential reporting system to the needs of the U.S. transportation industry.
