BOC PIK Crosswalk Current Population Survey (CPS) Food Security Data
Add to My BasketDescription
This dataset provides a crosswalk between the Current Population Survey food security supplement and the Census Protected Identification Key (PIK). PIKs are numeric codes used for linking records across datasets. PIKs are assigned probabilistically using personally identifying information such as name, date of birth, address, and Social Security Number. The 1940 Census PIKs are "modified" in that they were generated using a modified non-production version of the PVS that incorporated additional experimental components. The Current Population Survey Food Security Supplement (CPS-FSS) is the source of national and State-level statistics on food insecurity used in USDA's annual reports on household food security. The file can be used to aid in linking to Census datasets.
