Dual Enrollment Programs and Courses for High School Students, 2010-11 (PEQIS 18) is part of the Postsecondary Education Quick Information System (PEQIS) program; program data are available since 1997–98 at https://nces.ed.gov/pubsearch/getpubcats.asp?sid=016. The study was conducted using paper surveys, non-computer-assisted telephone instruments, and email. Postsecondary institution personnel were sampled for this survey. The study’s weighted response rate was 94 percent. Key statistics produced from PEQIS 18 are on the prevalence and characteristics of dual enrollment programs at postsecondary institutions in the United States.
Detailed Methodology
1,640 institutions were sampled and 1,520 institutions responded. The sample was stratified by instructional level, public or private control, highest degree type offered, total enrollment, region, and the inverse of White, non-Hispanic enrollment rate. Institutions were in the 50 states and DC.
